Carla Maria Santos de Carvalho: Ph.D. from the University of Coimbra in the area of Work and Organizational Psychology. She has been teaching in Higher Education since 1993. From 1998 to the present, she is an Assistant Professor and researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCE-UC/Portugal); she is the President of the Research Ethics and Deontology Commission; research member of the Center for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive and Behavioral Intervention (CINEICC), and also the Coordinator and supervisor of the internships in Psychology Masters (MPO, and WOP-P). Member of the OPP (Order of Portuguese Psychologists); Consultant/Trainer certified in the area, since 1991.

She has published numerous research studies in the discipline, both in books and scientific journals; participated as a speaker in national/international Congresses and reviewer of journals in her area. Her current research interests/projects are on: Emotions at Work; Entrepreneurship in academia; Work-Family Relationship; Well-being; Psychosocial Risks and Occupational Health; Work in/from the future: human-robot interaction and trust.
