Outputs and timing

The WOP-P Master stimulates “learning-by-doing” as a way to assure an optimal learning performance. Of course, it requires an additional effort by the teacher. For regular courses and activities, teachers use case studies, challenging situations and exercises, and problems that are close to the real life of the organization (e.g., design of a psychosocial risks analysis in one organization), although typical examinations also exist in some cases. In the Winter School, the “learning-by-doing” strategy is accentuated. The student has to deal with an open and complex challenge that requires the design of a new intervention for a new problem. For all activities, students have two automatic chances to pass that are included in the fees and participation costs.

Therefore, the WOP-P Master implements a gradual evaluation of student’s competencies over time. Although dates are agreed and communicated each year before starting the academic year, tentative critical dates exists:

  • Beginning of the first semester: September 14 – October 1
