Ricardo D. Blasco is Full Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Barcelona.  Co-founder member of the Catalonian Professional Association of Psychologists (COPC).  Ex-Director of the PhD program  “Work and Organizational Psychology”, (UB). Current Coordinator of the Master “Management and Development of Persons and Teams in Organizations” (UB). Director of several doctoral dissertations. Member of the “Research Group in Social, Environmental and Organizational Psychology” (PSICOSAO), in some topics, such as, Psychological Assessment in Personnel Selection (and the TIC’s actual impact  as The use of organizational websites to attract talent or Selection 2.0), Traffic Safety (The effects of driving by tunnels on driver behaviour, or the effects on driving while to listening music) or Work Health and Safety,among others.  Director of the “Mixed Research Unit” (UMI University of Barcelona – CIEMAT of the Spanish Government) focused on some issues of Nuclear Safety  (Social Acceptance of Fusion Nuclear Energy;  Safety  Culture evidence on the websites of Nuclear Plants; Safety culture in  High-Reliability Organizations HRO), etc.

Several publications in International Journals as Safety Science, Applied Psychology: An International Review. European Review of Applied Psychology, etc. and Chapters in books and participation in International and National Congress.

Consultant on Human Resources, in Safety and Human Factors at different companies which include the Spanish Nuclear Power Plants.
